In a remarkable turn of events, Bethani and Tim Webb from Hythe, Alberta, discovered they were expecting identical quadruplet daughters—a phenomenon occurring in approximately one in 15 million pregnancies.
The couple, married in June 2015, received the surprising news just three months into their marriage during a routine ultrasound. The nurse, upon examining the screen, was astonished to find four identical babies, all conceived naturally without any fertility treatments or a family history of multiples.
In June 2016, at 33 weeks gestation, Bethani delivered the quadruplets—Abigail, McKayla, Grace, and Emily—via cesarean section. All four girls were healthy at birth. To differentiate between the identical sisters, the parents painted each baby’s toenails a distinct color.
