In a tragic incident over the weekend, Duane ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ Chapman’s stepson accidentally shot and killed his own son — Chapman’s stepgrandson.
The shooting happened Saturday night in Naples, Florida, when Gregory Zecca, the son of Chapman’s wife Francie Frane, accidentally shot his son, Anthony. He was just 13.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it was investigating the “isolated incident”, but did not confirm who was involved.
Reps for Chapman shared: “We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony,”.
It appears Zecca was a gun enthusiast, as he allegedly took his son to a gun range in 2021 and they later visited a gun store, that same year – as posted on his Instagram.
Chapman, 72, married Zecca’s mother in 2021. He had previously been married to Beth Chapman for 13 years, before she tragically died in 2019 after battling throat cancer.
Chapman has 13 children with six different woman, however, he was only married to four of them.
