SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — San Francisco police are searching for a suspect involved in what appears to be an unprovoked assault that was captured on video.
The incident took place Thursday morning near 30th Avenue and Lincoln Way in the city’s Outer Sunset neighborhood. Surveillance footage shows a man crossing the street and striking a woman with an object as she was taking out the trash, before casually walking away.
Fortunately, the woman was not seriously hurt. Her family, who has lived in the neighborhood for more than 10 years, told ABC7 they’re heartbroken and angry about the attack. They’re urging anyone with information to come forward and assist police in identifying the suspect.
The investigation remains ongoing.
